Social Media Management – A Challenge For Entrepreneurs

I fell a good rule to implement is engaging in social media activities for about 30 minutes 5 days a week. This gives you time to check on your networks, make appropriate comments, and see if there are any issues that you need to attend to.

When you get hired by a company as the social media mangement guy or gal, your responsibility is to maintain the presence of your client. This means, keeping the Facebook page up to date, posting on their blog, and tweeting for them. This can be a really time consuming job, but if you have a framework to work from, it can be a great way to get the deluge under control.

Ditch the gadgets. Please, please, please do not have important conversations through e-mail, facebook, or texting. You should not even do them over the phone. It is much better to have these talks in person (see above, #3).

If you have a strong feeling your spouse is cheating on you, you can have her checked. You can go through the call log where received and missed calls are stored and carefully copy out the number. That is the time to ask the question; “whose cell phone number is this?” That is the best time to get online and start a quick check on who the owner is. However, you need to be as discreet as you can because you do not want your spouse raising an eyebrow.

JH: I like to work closely with my clients. The approach is very different with each niche market on twitter. Not everything will sell. But sometimes you would be surprised with some things that do sell. Like gift baskets for example.
